Sam Kriegler, RA Principal
Sam has been working as an architect in Pittsburgh for over a decade after getting his degree from Carnegie Mellon University. Sam specializes in adaptive reuse and historic renovation. He brings a simple ethos into every project by establishing goals with the project team, committing to delivery, and maintaining strong integrity. Having worked with engineers, artists, interior designers, landscape architects, homeowners, developers and contractors, Sam ensures that every team member is respected, heard and supported in accomplishing their and the greater team’s goals. You’ll catch Sam fishing, wearing backwards hats, playing video games, and drinking a good beer with friends.
Kevin Kuntz, RA, CPHD Principal
A native Pittsburgher, Kevin has been working as an architect for over a decade after studying at Carnegie Mellon University. He refined his work at leading firms in Pittsburgh before joining college classmate Sam at Third Ward to strike out on their own. Kevin’s professional experience ranges from commercial offices, restaurants, single family residential renovations, and multi-family new construction. He is keenly interested in energy efficient building and brings his experience in Passive House to every project. He believes good design is not expensive, but rather thoughtful consideration with a client’s goals in mind. Kevin enjoys getting into the nitty gritty details of construction and works to ensure designs are realistic and realized in the final result. You’ll catch Kevin exploring nature with his wife, baby daughter, and dogs.
